In 2014 all our beautiful black faced Suffolk Sheep were attacked and killed by wild dogs. We have been very, very sad about this – the wastage, the loss of our dear friends and wool producers. The joy of stroking shy noses and sinking hands into thick, lanolin rich fleece. It has been devastating.
But 2015 is the year of the sheep/goat/ram so we will be getting more (and keeping them very safe from predators!). We live and learn. When farmers make mistakes, things die. Kind and abundant as nature often is, she can be a very cruel task master too.
