Alpaca wool is amazing! So light to wear and knit, but amazingly warm. Softy and silky you won’t hear any ‘it’s itchy’ complaints as the ‘guard hairs’ have all been removed, and with no lanolin it is hypoallergenic. As well as being light, it is incredibly strong.

It’s a delight to work with, whether you knit or crochet, and will craft garments that stand the tests and rigours of time.

A lovely natural cream colour, from our beautiful Alpacas.

Only the finest fleece is used from the babies and young adults, so this is a superlative yarn. Shearing takes place in Spring and alpacas are shorn on a table. An old sock of Ged’s is put over the mouths of the few spitters! It’s a big day for everyone but the Alpacas are always so happy to be fleece free for the summer months.
